New series: Art For Plants

Do your plants like art?

Do your plants like art?

Have we all become plant people? I’ve always liked house plants, but since last year, you know, the everyone stayed home as much as possible year, I have acquired, propagated, and doubled my house plant population. I’ve gotten excited over hanging pots, doted over new leaf formation, and researched which plants create the most oxygen. I’m officially a plant person!

I woke one morning with the notion that the house plants needed something, as I walked around, turning pots, examining greenery, noting who needed water, I was overcome with the idea that the plants needed some bright art to keep them company, and nurture happy greens. Acquiring a stack of gallery wrapped, 6” block canvases, I embarked on a new series exploring what plants like, what leaf aura looks like, what human moods they appreciate most, and their favorite colors.

Art For Plants paintings can stand on their own to be arranged on the plant shelf, hung on the wall near any favorite house plants, or gifted to a plant lover in your life.
